Leonard Cohen Walking Weekend - Baiersbronn 2021, Sept. 23 - 27

Barmouth 2009, Haiger 2011, Galway 2013, Viladrau 2015, Balaton 2017 and Yorkshire 2019 have been wonderful occasions for LC Fans to spend some interesting walking trips together, always days finalized with happy drinking and singing sessions. Let’s do it once again.

Baiersbronn is a touristic place nested in the Black Forest area in the south west of Germany and it is well known for walking, skiing, tall trees, cuckoo clocks and nice restaurants.

We have found a very nice spot to hang out in the evening and we became friends with the owner of the „Rocking Horse" (Schaukelpferd) Jürgen Schulzke and he welcomes the group for some super nights. The kitchen is open until 11 p.m. and on two nights we have the Rocking Horse exclusively for us.

Thursday September 23, 2021

- 13.30 Meet at Frankfurt Main Station
- 14.06 Train will bring us to Baiersbronn in about 3,5 hours
- Some participants will travel with car and check in their hotel during the day
- 16.45 Cars will bring us from the station to the different hotels.
- Check in at hotel
- Meet and greet and dinner at Rocking Horse

Friday September 24, 2021

- 9.30 Bus will bring us to Besenfeld (10 km - 20 mins).
- Walk to Panorama Hütte in Baiersbronn-Schwarzenberg (9 km - 2h)
- Option of lunch, drinks, coffee and cake
- Walk down hill to Schwarzenberg (2 km - 20 mins)
- 14.30 Bus will bring us back to Baiersbronn
- Rest, explore, you arrange dinner individually, hangout at Rocking Horse later

Saturday September 25, 2021
|
- 9.30 bus will bring us to Freudenstadt (7 km - 15 mins).
- Soft uphill walk to Berghütte Lauterbad (5 km - 1h)
- Option of eat and drink
- Soft down hill walk back to Freudenstadt (5 km - 1h)
- Hangout and Shopping in Freudenstadt (1h)
- 14.00 bus will bring us to Hopfau (25 km - 30 mins)
- 15.00 easy walk to water castle Glatt (5 km - 1h)
- Coffee and Cake next to water castle Glatt (1,5 h)
- 17.30 bus will bring us back to Baiersbronn (30 km - 1,5 h)
- You arrange dinner individually, hangout at Rocking Horse later

- 10.00 Bus will take us on a 3 hour trip with stops at hotspots around Baiersbronn.
- 13.00 Bus will drop us at Hotel Barreis in Mitteltal
- Easy walk back to Baiersbronn (5 km - 1h)
- Rest, Explore, Dinner at Rocking Horse
- 21.00 Singer/Songwriter in concert
